Gasser M-1870 Long (True Montenegrin Nicolas II)

True Montenegrin Gasser Army Model-1874 made by L. Gasser in Vienna. Caliber:  original; 11 mm, during arsenal rework .445 stamped on the bottom of the barrel. Original long 9.375" barrel, 15.25" overall. This is a model made of steel and so marked on the left side of the frame - "Guss Stahl". Six shot, double action. Top of the frame stamped with Nicolas King of Montenegro initials "Crown over NI". Left side of the barrel assembly stamped: "L.Gasser Wien Patent Ottaring". Below there is an Austrian Imperial Crown, Serial number and "Guss Stahl". There is also another number probably inventory - see photos. Frame stamped wit serial number, smaller, probably inventory number and distributor stamp " Apple pierced wit Arrow L.G. Schutz Marke". Cylinder also marked with serial number overstamped with what looks like Arabic number. Similar markings are on the right side of barrel assembly - probably captured by Turks in Balkan Wars. Condition: fine plus. No rust or pitting, probably arsenal refinish, nice uniform old bluing. Matching numbers on the frame, barrel and cylinder. Action works smooth and all springs working. Very good barrel with strong rifling, dark in the grooves - probably would clean nicely if desired. Super scarce Austrian made Montenegrin revolver with Royal initials on top. Serial number: 176313
