Sword of Austrian high ranking officials and "k.k." professors pattern 1907. The blade was made by: "Weyersberg & Stamm Solingen" as marked on the ricasso. Blade is single edged with fuller on both sides and central point. Beautifully etched decoration with panoply of arms, "FJI" under Imperial Crown. The other side has also panoply of arms and Imperial Eagle under the Crown.  Blade is nickel plated. Brass basket hilt with leaf relief and pommel in the same style originally gold gilded. Wooden, fish skin covered grip with triple brass wire wrapping. Wooden scabbard covered with  leather and lacquered with orange brown color. Brass mouthpiece with tie and scabbard loop. There is a yellow porteppe on the hilt and sword hanger with belt attached to the scabbard.
Condition: near excellent. Perfect shinny blade with no rust or pitting. Excellent hilt and pommel with no dings or damage but only traces of gold gild. Grip is also excellent and wire is tight. Scabbard brass fitting show some gold gilding, specially the bottom one. Lacquer on the scabbard is chipped and exposing a leather in few places. Porteppe is nice but shows fringing on the edges. Hangers and belt are solid and and in a very good condition.
Overall a very nice and interesting sword.
