Drum Major's Saber circa 1802 from the period of First Empire. Unmarked, nicely curved 31 inch long and 1.5 inch wide blade. Gilt bronze stirrup hilt with missing scabbard throat; quillon block with panoplies of arms and well rendered eagle head pommel Leather and wire wrapped grip.
Condition: Blade shows dark patina with couple of rust spots by the tip. Blade cutting edge shows few combat nicks. Hilt retains some of the gilt finish. Wire grip wrapping partially loose.
