Nice Austrian cavalry officers sword Model 1861/69. Single edged, slightly curved blade with wide fuller on outer side. Blade is 28 inches long and 1 3/8 inches wide. The blade is marked on ricasso "Eisenhauer" on one side and "St Striberny Wien" on the other. Massive symmetrical iron basket hilt with feathery geometrical cuttings and two slots for portepee.  Wooden grip covered with fish skin leather and originally wire wrap which is now missing. Iron scabbard with tie and scabbard loop.
Condition: very nice, clean blade with only few darker spots, excellent hilt with no rust or damage. Grip is also very good with only couple of cuts to the leather and missing wire wrap. Excellent iron scabbard covered with nice brown patina and only one, almost unnoticeable ding on lower section.
Overall very nice made for combat saber.
