Terrific and super scarce Austro-Hungarian Model 1862 Naval Officer's Sword, Hungarian Officer version, complete with original bullion sword knot and brown leather hangers and belt - here you get the full set! This is a very attractive sword with deeply chiseled hilt including Neptune with Trident depicted on back strap, mermaids, anchor and Hungarian Crest being hold by two Angels. Grey shark skin grip with sword knot attached - knot in excellent shape for age. Blade length is 28 inches, 34 inches overall. Condition of the quillpoint nickel plated blade is great, with almost all nickel remaining. Blade decorated with Hungarian Crest on one side and with the anchor to the other. The black leather scabbard with brass mounts and nicely chiseled right down to the chape. Brown leather and gold bullion hangers and belt  - all in nice shape. Blade made in Solingen". There is: F.O. 214 on ricasso and the same number is on the tip of scabbard.
The attached portepee has "K" initials for Charles who was King of Hungary 1916-1918.
