Terrific and scarce Austrian Model 1862 Naval Officer's Sword complete with original bullion sword knot and morocco leather hangers and belt - here you get the full set! This is a very attractive sword with deeply chisell hilt including Neptune depicted on back strap, mermaids, anchor and the Double Headed Eagle of Habsburg Royal family. Black fishskin grip with sword knot attached - knot in excellent shape for age. Blade length is 29 inches, 34 inches overall. Condition of the quillpoint blade is superb with a great smooth grey patina - no pitting. Blade decorated with Austrian Double Headed Eagle on one side with the anchor to the other. The fine detail continues with the chiselled scabbard mounts right down to the chape. Morocco leather and gold bullion hangers and belt with silver buckle - all in top shape. Maker is "Clauberg, Solingen".
