Price: $4550.00
Interesting and super scarce Imperial Russian Percussion Musket which was converted from earlier M.1828 Flintlock   around or after 1843. This example has a date stamped on front band: "1833" - probably original manufacturing date. Russian arsenals didn't do many conversions, rather they manufactured Percussion Model 1845 Muskets, hence finding a converted one is nearly impossible.
Caliber: .70, Barrel length: 41 1/2". Barrel retained by 3 brass bands, plain lock plate with faint arsenal marks. But plate tang has worn "Imperial Russian Eagle" over small
"ep" and "1273" (Regimental markings).
Condition: Grey finish to barrel, lock and fittings. Mellow finish to brass regulation furniture. Wear to profiles and markings. Very good plus stock showing some old, arsenal repair to lock surround but everything else solid and no wood missing. Complete with swivels and rod. Action works great.
A super scarce Musket that would grade up.
