DESCRIPTION: Interesting and massive Swiss military flaregun. This is probably the largest military flaregun adopted by any army in the world. This type of flaregun is called in Switzerland, "Racketen Pistole". The flaregun was manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern, and is accordingly marked on the left side of the frame, " FW, Swiss Cross" (in the circle). The large Swiss Cross in the Shield and a Swiss proof, "Cross over M"are also stamped on the left side of the frame. High quality of machining and metal finish. Safety lever on the right side of the frame. Original military style two-piece brown plastic grips. Barrel length: 10.75 inch. Complete with two sling swivels and original leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent. 95% of original, blue finish is still on metal, with a balance being in white. Most of the finish wear is on the sharp edges of metal parts. The flaregun shows an honest service wear. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the flaregun are in excellent condition, with no visible wear. The action works fine. Bore is in excellent condition. Original brown plastic grips show some handling marks. The left side grip has a small hairline crack in its upper part.
