DESCRIPTION: Scarce Chilean military brass & steel flaregun. The design follows the lines of the Imperial German "Drucknopf" flaregun. The major differences are much shorter barrel and the frame made out of brass, rather than steel, which was used in the German flaregun. The left side of the frame displays a two digit serial number. Other than that, there are no markings on any kind stamped on the flaregun. The frame is made out of brass, while the barrel, trigger, hammer, barrel release lock, lanyard ring and all the screws and springs are made out of steel. Barrel length: 3.5 inch. Smooth hardwood grips. Complete with a lanyard ring. CONDITION: Fine. The barrel shows about 84% of its original blue finish. The brass frame shows some handling marks and minor dings. All the internal parts of the flaregun are in fine condition, with no visible wear. The action works fine. Bore is in excellent condition. Original hardwood grips with no cracks, but with some handling marks and dings. All complete and in as issued condition. Scarce Chilean military flaregun! Serial# 7X.
