Nazi M.1884/98 bayonet scabbard. This is a correct scabbard for K98k bayonets. Bayonets with such scabbards were also issued with Gew.98 and K98AZ. The war time production. The scabbard displays maker markings and a production date, "Carl Eickhorn 1940". The serial number is stamped on the opposite side of the scabbard, "2771g". The scabbard tip displays a Nazi eagle. CONDITION: Low fine. The scabbard has about 68% of blue finish mixed with light patina (that latter can be partially removed). The blue finish is missing manly where the scabbard was covered by a leather frog. The scabbard does not have any dents. The throat screw is missing. (Janzen p.100)
