Japanese Arisaka T.30 bayonet with a steel scabbard. The bayonet was manufactured at the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works under Nagoya supervision (now Toyota Industries Corporation!), and is accordingly stamped on the blade (please, see pictures). Correct bayonet for T.30, 38, 99, "I" rifles and carbines. Wooden grips fastened by two screws with oval shaped nuts and washers. Straight crossguard with no hook. The serial number is stamped on the end of the pommel. The steel parts of the hilt, blade and scabbard show blue finish (correct for this model). CONDITION: Overall in fine+ condition. Blade is in excellent condition with some sharpening marks. The hilt, blade and scabbard show well preserved blue finish. The wooden grips show some handling marks. Scabbard shows one dent. Nicely preserved Arisaka T. 30 bayonet! Many bayonet of this pattern were brought to the USA by returning American soldiers after the World War Two. (Janzen p.133/1)
